Jëlldëz Asani holds a PhD (2017) from the International University of Novi Pazar with a thesis on Albanian contemporary painting. He earned an MA (2010) and BA (2002) from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje, focusing on Albanian painters and Impressionism in the region.
Since 2013, he has been a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Arts at the University of Tetova’s Faculty of Arts. He also worked as an assistant from 2007–2013, and previously served as an archaeologist at the National Conservation Center in Skopje.
On April 23, 2025, the University of Tetova celebrated his two latest scholarly books: *From Renaissance to the Optical Illusion of Mannerism* and *Light‑Shadows of Baroque & Theatricality of Rococo*. These works contribute significantly to European art studies in Albanian.
His expertise spans Western figurative art, with a chronological and analytical approach that appeals to students, researchers, and art enthusiasts exploring stylistic developments from the Renaissance to Rococo.
At Struga ’25, Jëlldëz contributes his deep knowledge of Western art history through workshops and lectures focused on Renaissance–Rococo periods, enriching the intellectual depth of the symposium.
